HECPS INtroductory Unit

September 10
We have a couple of things going on today.
First up, you need to complete a See Yourself Quick Write.  This will be completed on paper and handed in before you leave today.
Up next, we will take a look at the concept of Momento Mori.  You will then begin working on an assignment connected to the ideas held within Momento Mori.  If you complete this activity today, make sure to turn it in.
If you finish all of the above, and have yet to complete your e-mail etiquette assignment, you can use whatever time is left to work on getting that completed, as well.

September 8
Today's focus is to complete the e-mail etiquette assignment.  The assignment can be found on the last slide of the e-mail etiquette notes from September 5.  Remember, you need to complete your e-mail and send it to me.  I will be responding to them in the next couple of days.
If you complete your e-mail and have time left in class, please use that time to work on any work you have for another class.

September 5
Today will begin with a look at my website, so that you know what is available to you.
Up next, we will go through a writing activity called Quick Thought Questions.  This assignment will be turned in before you leave class today.
Finally, you will be introduced to e-mail etiquette.  In short, how to send out a professional looking e-mail so that people will take you seriously.  Attached to those notes, you will also find your e-mail assignment.  You will need to send me an e-mail--aiming for perfect etiquette.

September 3
Welcome to Higher Education and Career Path Skills (HECPS).  If you need to know about anything we are working on in class, this is your place.  This page will contain all assignment and project information.  Also, if you need to look at the syllabus, you can find it here.
The main bit of information today is understanding the why of this class. To that end, these slides cover what I am saying in class.
Please remember to get a notebook for our class as soon as you can.
