First up, let's take a look at Building Fantasy Characters. You will then be given time to build a character that you could use in a fantasy story.

Today, we are talking princes and princesses (common characters in a fantasy story). We will start with a Post-It activity and then end with a drabble activity, which will need to be turned in when finished.

As we enter into our first full unit, we need to get our bearings on what it means to write fantasy stories. So, we will begin with two sets of notes. The first is all about Building Fantasy. The second will focus on Subgenres of Fantasy so that you can see where you are able to take your stories.
The remainder of today's time is your last chance in class to work on any of our assignments from the Picture Book Unit. After today, I will not be accepting the I Was So Mad activity. Also, I have started reading your picture book projects, so you need to make sure that is completed and submitted to turnitin.com.
