February 10
You will be using turnitin.com this semester to turn in some of your work, so today we are going to get you set up. These slides will help you get started in creating your turnitin account. Once everyone is up and running, I will have you submit a practice assignment so that you know the process.
Following the turnitin account creation, you will take part in a partnered activity. The partnership that is the most accurate will receive a prize next class.
Finally, you will get a set of Terms to Know notes for our next unit, which is Folklore of Our Youth.
February 9
Okay, so I forgot one set of notes and story. We will cover that today. A Look at Myths will be our final set of notes for this introductory unit.
Today's class will end with a couple of questions. A bit of time to jot down your answers and then some discussion.
February 5
Today starts with the reading connected to our Folk Tales notes.
We will then move into A Look at Riddles. Once again, this will include notes, a reading, and discussion.
Finally, we will then look at A Look at Nursery Rhymes. Same routine applies here.
February 3
First up today, we will be taking a look at an introduction to Global Folklore. These notes, and those that follow over this next week will introduce you to most of the terms we will be using throughout the semester.
We will follow things up with A Look at Fairy Tales. This will include notes, a reading, and discussion.
Time dependent, if we move through things quickly enough, we will move onto our next area of focus. If not, it will wait until next class.
February 2
Welcome to Global Folklore. We will take time today to go over what will be happening during the course this semester.
